About the Role
As a Senior Consultant IT-Audit / Financial Services, you will be a key part of our FSI IT-Audit team, supporting financial institutions in optimizing processes, minimizing risks, implementing regulatory requirements, and adhering to compliance standards. You will work with leading banks, insurance companies, and investment funds in the real asset and securities sector, contributing to sustainable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Assist in auditing IT processes for banks, capital management companies, or insurance companies as part of annual and consolidated financial statement audits, as well as securities and custody audits.
- Support audit-related consulting projects.
- Continuously expand your specialized network and foster collaboration between audit teams and IT specialists.
- Work in small and large teams for clients on a project basis and significantly contribute to the execution of IT audits.
- Independently handle IT audit topics for complex operational accounting-relevant IT systems, IT-supported business processes, IT organizations, IT infrastructures, and regulatory requirements (e.g., DORA).
- Significantly contribute to solving complex issues related to AI systems, cyber security, and other relevant topics, applying your IT knowledge in the financial services sector.
- Take responsibility for complex issues in IT audit and drive the development and implementation of forward-looking solutions for the Financial Services audit area (banks, insurance, asset management, crypto technology DLT).
Requirements
- Knowledge of digitalization and technology trends, artificial intelligence, ERP systems, cloud computing, or cyber security.
- Ideally, experience in auditing and interpreting regulatory requirements (e.g., MaRisk, DORA) in the financial services environment.
- Structured, independent, and solution-oriented approach with a strong ability to manage complex challenges.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to react flexibly to industry challenges.
- University degree in Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Law.
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
