About the Role
Gilmartin is seeking a Business Development Analyst to support business growth by developing and executing business development activities and ongoing processes. This role involves identifying new prospects, building relationships, and contributing to the firm's success in helping healthcare technology companies.
Responsibilities
- Source outreach for new business opportunities through various means
- Attend conferences, set-up and attend introductory meetings, follow-up activities
- Track newsflow, financial, M&A, and industry trends across healthcare
- Build and maintain relationships internally and externally
- Work with client team leads to support and expand existing efforts and relationship development
- Develop materials and case studies with Marketing
- Maintain and update CRM tracking all business leads and prospecting
- Assess prospective clients' investor relations objectives and needs
- Identify and engage with referral sources including investment banking, equity research, venture community, and investors
- Manage business development opportunities and follow-up activities with client team leads and Business Development Managing Directors
- Create and tailor pitch materials and proposals to address prospective client needs
- Capture notes for client engagements and draft initial engagement letters
- Collaborate with the Marketing Director to ensure marketing materials are accessible and utilized for business development
- Originate, execute, and assist with planning Gilmartin sponsored events with the Marketing Director
- Collect feedback on desired service offering materials from client team leads
- Develop collateral materials such as IPO advisory projects, private placements, and case studies
