About the Role
This position is responsible for the manufacturing of weldments, aneroid production, and mechanical soldering of parts for aerospace products within the Space, Life Support and Actuation programs. Technicians will perform routine maintenance, collaborate with team members, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety standards.
- Performing routine maintenance.

- Setting up and evaluating complex welding systems.
- Using specialized tools, taps, thread gauges, and measuring equipment.
- Sharing knowledge and guiding technicians of lower and current level.
- Independently performing moderate and beginning high complexity fabrication operations following written instructions.
- Completing certification for fabrication inspection processes including braze, solder, and weld.
- Understanding product quality requirements and following non-conforming material processes.
- Reporting findings to the team and generating non-conforming hardware documentation.
- Supporting Team/Engineering with inspection and rework.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalency.
- 4 years of relevant fabrication (weld, solder, braze)/ manufacturing experience or 6 years combined fabrication (weld, solder, braze)/manufacturing & Military experience.
- Working knowledge of using metal joining process (solder, GTAW, braze), various hand tools and measuring equipment.
- Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).
- Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of Orchard Park, NY, unless an Active-Duty Military Service member.
- Must be able to communicate effectively, manage time, and adapt to various work environments.
- Must be able to complete all required technical skills associated with the job.
