About the Role
Lead defined controls testing with a focus on Technology controls to ensure compliance and operational risks are effectively identified, assessed, and managed, supporting regulatory requirements. This 12-month contract offers an opportunity to deliver a new era for the Risk and Compliance team.
Responsibilities
- Lead walkthroughs to identify, document, and assess technology, cyber, and data risk, including obligations and controls.
- Execute technology control testing to evaluate design, effectiveness, residual risk, and compliance with frameworks and regulatory requirements.
- Drive improvements to obligations and controls to strengthen the risk management environment.
- Escalate key technology, cyber, and data risk issues to relevant governance forums.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of technology operational risk and controls in large, complex, regulated environments.
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in technology risk management.
- Knowledge of audit and assessment standards (e.g. CISA, CRISC).
- Familiarity with cyber security frameworks (e.g. NIST, Essential 8, ISO 27000, PCI DSS).
- Solid governance and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving capability.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
