About the Role

The Senior Manager, Sales Training is responsible for developing and implementing sales training strategies, plans, and processes in Japan to support organizational goals. This role ensures employees have the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed in their roles.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the marketing team to plan and implement mid/long-term training strategies in the assigned therapeutic area.
  • Plans and schedules the annual sales training program.
  • Coordinates and arranges various training types, including group sessions with Global instructors, MCC study meetings, and regional sales director trainings.
  • Communicates with the Global training team to optimize training activities.
  • Identifies MCC development areas and designs corresponding training programs.
  • Determines subject content and analyzes task components related to stated goals.
  • Collaborates with external vendors to design and produce high-quality training materials.
  • Designs and conducts assessments to evaluate MCCs' knowledge and training effectiveness.
  • Monitors and tracks the completion status of e-learnings.

Requirements

  • More than 5 years of experience in a pharmaceutical company, ideally in rare disease.
  • More than 2 years of experience in training, with familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in-classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations) being a plus.
  • MR experience is preferable.
  • Communication skills to reach agreement on training strategies and tactics through discussion with internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to motivate team members with a positive and constructive approach to business challenges.
  • IT skills with good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, specifically PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Proficiency in English is preferable, including verbal communication with Global staff and reading/writing skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
