About the Role
Play a key role in maintaining the airworthiness compliance of Qantas engines and APUs. Use your technical expertise to manage engine receipts, configuration control and maintenance data integrity. Join a collaborative Engineering team supporting one of Australia's most recognised and trusted aviation organisations.
Responsibilities
- Verifying the compliance and airworthiness of engines and APUs following external repair or overhaul
- Reviewing maintenance records, shop visit reports and supporting technical documentation
- Creating and managing engine and APU workscopes
- Maintaining configuration control and data integrity within MXi and associated systems
- Managing engineering authorisations, maintenance memos and compliance documentation
- Supporting engine and APU planning activities to ensure fleet operational requirements are met
- Identifying technical discrepancies and working with stakeholders to resolve compliance issues
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost, turnaround times and process efficiency.
Requirements
- Trade qualification in an engineering-related discipline
- Significant experience working with aircraft engines and/or APUs
- Sound understanding of aircraft maintenance regulations, airworthiness requirements and technical documentation
- Experience using maintenance management systems, ideally MXi
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a complex operational environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
