About the Role

Play a key role in maintaining the airworthiness compliance of Qantas engines and APUs. Use your technical expertise to manage engine receipts, configuration control and maintenance data integrity. Join a collaborative Engineering team supporting one of Australia's most recognised and trusted aviation organisations.

Responsibilities

  • Verifying the compliance and airworthiness of engines and APUs following external repair or overhaul
  • Reviewing maintenance records, shop visit reports and supporting technical documentation
  • Creating and managing engine and APU workscopes
  • Maintaining configuration control and data integrity within MXi and associated systems
  • Managing engineering authorisations, maintenance memos and compliance documentation
  • Supporting engine and APU planning activities to ensure fleet operational requirements are met
  • Identifying technical discrepancies and working with stakeholders to resolve compliance issues
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost, turnaround times and process efficiency.

Requirements

  • Trade qualification in an engineering-related discipline
  • Significant experience working with aircraft engines and/or APUs
  • Sound understanding of aircraft maintenance regulations, airworthiness requirements and technical documentation
  • Experience using maintenance management systems, ideally MXi
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a complex operational environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
