About the Role
In this senior leadership role, you will be a critical strategic partner to our Executive team and Board, driving financial planning, elevating group performance, and shaping the financial narrative that guides our enterprise. You will lead a high-performing team responsible for overseeing board reporting, managing group-wide budgeting and forecasting, and designing an agile enterprise performance management cadence. You will bridge the gap between financial strategy and operational execution, partnering closely with the Results Delivery Office (RDO) and Strategy teams to ensure our top-down priorities align with bottom-up delivery.
Responsibilities
- Develop clear, data-driven financial reports for the Board of Directors.
- Manage half-year and full-year non-statutory investor reporting, aligning investor narrative, strategy progress, and financial outcomes across Investor Relations, Strategy, and Corporate Affairs.
- Partner with Strategy to lead the 5-year financial plan and annual budget cycles.
- Apply zero-based budgeting principles to optimize spend and guide capital allocation decisions across our brands and functions.
- Lead timely forecast cycles, monetising choices from our Trimesterly planning processes to inform trade-offs and drive agile decision-making.
- Collaborate with the RDO to build robust performance measurement frameworks.
- Drive technology and AI initiatives to automate reporting and unlock deeper insights into performance trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Manage support office cost-of-doing-business (CODB), establishing ownership and accountability across functional leaders to drive operational efficiency.
- Lead, coach, and mentor the Planning & Performance team, cultivating a collaborative culture of high performance and continuous growth.
Requirements
- Seeking a commercially astute, forward-thinking finance leader with strong influence and credibility at the executive and Board level.
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in Finance, with strong capabilities across FP&A, enterprise performance management, and change leadership.
- Qualified Accountant (CA/CPA) with experience managing investor relations materials and non-statutory reporting processes.
- Prior experience in Retail or FMCG is highly desirable.
- Proven track record in zero-based budgeting, capital allocation, and leveraging digital/AI tools to transform finance workflows.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with a track record of partnering with Board members, ELTs, and functional teams to achieve enterprise goals.
