About the Role
Flair Airlines is seeking a Director, Agency Sales and Partnerships to lead the development and execution of the national travel trade strategy, focusing on expanding distribution through the travel agency channel and driving air-only revenue growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a national B2B sales strategy focused on driving air-only revenue growth through the travel trade channel.
- Drive adoption of Flair’s inventory through agency booking platforms such as Sirev.
- Identify, prioritize, and grow high-value agency partnerships and consortia relationships across Canada.
- Expand Flair’s presence in key origin markets, including Toronto (YYZ), Vancouver (YVR), Calgary (YYC), Edmonton (YEG), Montréal (YUL), and other priority gateways across Canada.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with travel agencies, host agencies, and consortia partners.
- Lead commercial negotiations with key partners, including commission structures, overrides, and other commercial terms.
- Increase agency engagement and share of wallet through targeted growth initiatives and disciplined relationship management.
- Design and implement competitive commission structures for air-only sales.
- Develop performance-based incentive programs that drive incremental sales and support revenue growth.
- Monitor program effectiveness and adjust structures based on return on investment, performance, and market response.
- Build, mentor, and lead a team of Sales Managers across Canada.
- Establish clear KPIs, sales targets, and accountability frameworks across the agency sales organization.
- Foster a performance-driven and entrepreneurial sales culture aligned with Flair’s low-cost business model.
- Collaborate with Revenue Management and Network Planning to align pricing, inventory, and promotional strategies within the agency channel.
- Ensure product accessibility, visibility, and usability across agency booking platforms and distribution channels.
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends, and distribution strategies to identify risks and opportunities.
- Provide regular sales forecasts, performance reporting, and strategic insights to executive leadership.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements

Experience Level
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in airline, travel, or commercial sales leadership, with significant experience in distribution, agency sales, or partnership development.
- Demonstrated success leading national B2B sales strategies that drive revenue growth, market expansion, and stronger partner engagement.
- Proven experience building and managing strategic relationships with travel agencies, host agencies, consortia, and other trade distribution partners.
- Strong experience negotiating commercial agreements, including commission structures, overrides, and performance-based incentive programs.
- Significant experience working with travel agency distribution systems and booking platforms, including Sirev, Softvoyage, GDS, or similar tools.
- Experience leading high-performing sales teams and establishing clear accountability, performance measures, and revenue targets.
- Experience within a Canadian airline, travel, or tourism environment is strongly preferred.
Education Level
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or a related discipline is preferred.
