About the Role
Join our London-based Creative Department as a Junior Multi-Media Artist. You will collaborate with a team of creatives and developers to deliver exceptional digital experiences, reporting to the Creative Lead. This hybrid role requires 2 days per week in our Hackney Wick office.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate to bring creative concepts to life with compelling visuals for client pitches.
- Assist in bringing projects to life, working across design, UI, motion, animation, and 3D asset preparation.
- Ensure UX flows are functional and UI details like color theory and typography are applied consistently.
- Prep and animate assets for digital products, livestreams, and social content.
- Aid in the setup or organization of 3D assets for immersive sites.
- Prep, resize, and optimize assets for project delivery.
- Create promotional assets for social media, website, client deliverables, and awards submissions.
- Juggle multiple project tasks simultaneously, ensuring deliverables remain on schedule.
- Articulate design, motion, and 3D work reasoning and proactively clarify project requirements.
- Provide timely updates on assigned tasks to team members.
- Build strong rapport across the business for seamless cross-functional collaboration.
- Review internal demos and live projects to ensure creative vision and polish.
- Stay curious about digital and creative trends, contributing new ideas to shape creative direction.
Requirements
- A degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field, or a strong portfolio demonstrating digital design principles.
- Solid understanding of Figma, including organized layers, basic component libraries, and prototyping.
- Good working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Foundational understanding of how the web works and desire to learn asset preparation and optimization best practices.
- Ability to communicate ideas at different fidelity levels, from mood boards to polished designs and motion graphics.
- A developing sense of style and an eye for trends, with the ability to follow brand guidelines.
- Willingness to articulate creative reasoning and a growth mindset.
- Passion for digital art direction and identifying visual references.
- Excellent time management skills for a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Ability to collaborate with other creatives and be a proactive, supportive teammate.
- Genuine passion for the entertainment landscape (film, music, gaming) and curiosity about digital and immersive design's role.
- Interest or skills in illustration and animation.
- Basic understanding of 3D fundamentals.
- Experience with AI tools to expedite workflows or support visual creation.
- Passion for technology, digital marketing, and creative campaigns.
- Familiarity with Asana or similar workflow tools, Google Suite, and digital content management systems.
- Eligible to live and work in the UK.
