About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Assistant Designer to support the design team throughout the entire product lifecycle, from concept to launch. This role requires a blend of creative and operational skills, ideal for someone who excels in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist with trend and market research, mood boards, color palettes, and seasonal inspiration.
- Create technical CADs, range pages, and specification sheets.
- Prepare development briefs for suppliers.
- Assist in fabric, trim, and material sourcing.
- Track development samples.
- Maintain accurate records of lab dips, strike-offs, and tech pack submissions and approvals.
- Support supplier communication, costing inputs, and product approvals.
- Maintain product data in AP21 and Clo-set, or equivalent systems.
- Update BOMs, colorways, and style information.
- Manage WIP tracking, sample logs, and critical path updates.
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Senior Designer.
- Prepare documentation for range and buy meetings.
- Keep design sample areas organized and up to date.
- Support additional design projects and administrative tasks.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in a design, product development, or creative support role (internships considered).
- Diploma or degree in Fashion Design, Product Development, or similar discipline.
- Strong Adobe Illustrator skills for creating technical CADs and spec sheets.
- Solid understanding of garment construction, fit, and textiles.
- Experience managing sample tracking and critical path administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
