About the Role

The Digital Marketing Associate is responsible for managing and executing marketing and membership campaigns to maintain the theater’s brand and attract new audiences. This role manages all digital channels and ensures a consistent brand voice across platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Assume a key role in the upcoming website redesign project, providing assets, participating in testing, and ensuring site meets accessibility, SEO, and analytics requirements.
  • Manage the company’s website using the backend CMS, including building new pages and maintaining accurate information.
  • Act as the primary contact with the website developer for larger scale updates.
  • Manage the website update request form and make necessary changes promptly.
  • Develop and maintain a weekly social media schedule aligned with the overall marketing calendar.
  • Generate original social media content to drive marketing campaigns.
  • Assist in producing in-house video content.
  • Monitor daily press clips and generate content based on press mentions.
  • Respond to inquiries via 2ST platforms.
  • Partner with other departments to generate and deliver social media content.
  • Be on-site to cover select performances and events for social media, requiring some night and weekend work.
  • Create a monthly newsletter in collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Assist with developing content strategy, key messaging, and drafting content copy for communications pieces.
  • Create and deploy emails from other departments.
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns against goals.
  • Stay up to date with digital and social advertising practices and generate new ideas to engage audiences.
  • Establish an internal email routing/review system for internal stakeholders and make necessary edits.
  • Participate in creative discussions with outside advertising agencies and the press team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting with marketing events and some nights and weekend work.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of digital marketing experience, preferably in the performing arts.
  • Passion for theater and knowledge of the NY theater scene.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work in teams and communicate a coherent vision while incorporating feedback.
  • Robust knowledge of all social media platforms, current trends, and best practices.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment under deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of Meta Business Suite for drafting, scheduling, and analyzing posts.
  • Ability or interest in learning to edit and design in Adobe Creative Suite.
