About the Role
Capital Dynamics is seeking a highly capable Desktop Support Analyst for its New York office on a fixed-term contract. This role provides on-site support for the Microsoft 365 environment, end-user support across business functions, and manages IT processes like provisioning, asset management, and break-fix resolution.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the firm's M365 environment including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and associated integrations.
- Own configuration, permissions management, and ongoing housekeeping across all M365 services.
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert for M365 queries and issues.
- Deliver technology support to investment professionals, senior management, and operational staff.
- Maintain response and resolution standards consistent with a professional services environment.
- Own the end-to-end provisioning and deprovisioning process for all staff.
- Manage access rights across M365 and connected systems.
- Maintain accurate records of user status and entitlements.
- Triage, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software issues across Windows and Mac environments.
- Escalate issues to vendors or third-party support where required.
- Maintain the firm's technology asset inventory and manage device lifecycle.
- Configure and maintain SharePoint sites, document libraries, and permissions structures.
- Contribute to the ongoing management and development of the firm's SharePoint infrastructure.
- Maintain meeting room technology, AV equipment, and video conferencing systems.
- Document resolutions, maintain configuration records, and develop runbooks for recurring processes.
- Flag security and risk concerns to the Technology Delivery Manager and Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
Requirements
- A degree-level education in Computer Science, Information Systems, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence (AI) or a related discipline.
- 2 to 4 years experience in a technology / desktop support role.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration.
- Familiarity with SharePoint configuration and permissions management is an advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an engaging personality.
- Experience working in a client-first environment.
- Organised and self-directed.
- Ability to manage competing priorities without close supervision.
- Genuine interest in technology as a discipline, including current developments in data infrastructure and artificial intelligence AI.
- Must be fluent in English and display superior verbal/written communication skills.
