About the Role
The Four Seasons Hotel Seoul is seeking a Sales Manager to administer the hotel's sales program, implement sales action plans, and solicit business from local corporate, MICE, and leisure segments. This role contributes to departmental goals and the marketing budget, requiring a candidate dedicated to creating personalized guest experiences.
Responsibilities
- Administer the sales program of the hotel.
- Implement all sales action plans related to the respective market (by segment and geographical locations) as outlined in the Marketing plan.
- Actively participate in achieving departmental goals, which contribute to the Marketing budget.
- Solicit from the local corporate / MICE / leisure segments for rooms, food & beverage business, banquet business and all hotel business from sales activities.
- Write strategic sales action plans for the corporate / MICE / leisure segments.
- Closely monitor accounts revenue and business production for Corporate / Embassy/ Government / FIT / Meetings/Events accounts.
- Maximize up-selling opportunities whenever possible.
- Attend related work functions and promotional events (i.e. trade shows) and promote sales (rooms, catering, and other facilities and services) for the hotel.
- Plan sales trips to major market areas, calling on accounts within the specific market areas.
- Report potential markets, which need coverage, to the Director of Sales.
- Review direct competition and conduct regular research.
- Maintain the hotel data base and Central Information System in the most efficient and effective manner with the assistance of office supporting staff.
- Complete weekly Golden S&C sales calls report.
- Maintain an up-to-date record of all account corporate profiles on Golden S&C.
- Conduct telemarketing and research from internet and internal resources to qualify accounts.
- Project a professional image when representing The Hotel.
- Host corporate familiarization groups, hotel tours, attend trade shows or sales trips, webinars and assist colleagues whenever deemed necessary.
- Handle any duties as designated by the Director of Sales.
- Maintain a high level of exposure for the hotel in major market areas through direct sales, telephone, fax and written communications.
- Strive to meet / exceed sales target set by the Director of Sales.
- Carry out the day-to-day sales activities in the corporate / leisure and MICE market / under the set policies and procedures.
- Develop new accounts by mapping specific business and buying tendencies.
- Conduct site inspections.
- Maintain close communication with the Conference Service Team in the group process of their accounts.
- Attend the pre-event meeting and post-event meeting as required, chaired by Conference Service Team.
- Follow up with Conference Service Team after the post-event meeting with Thank You calls and send Thank You Letter together.
- Cross-sell other sister properties, F&B, vouchers, SPA whenever possible.
- Liaise with all WSOs to generate and follow up on potential sales leads.
- Responsible for the training and development of other junior corporate and commercial sales staff to the finest professional standard and lead by example.
- Create and execute direct sales plan specific for new business development.
Requirements
- Min 2 to 3 years experience in hotel sales.
- Must already possess valid work authorization in South Korea.
Skills
- Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
- Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
- Good bilingual writing skills.
