About the Role
Qantas Freight is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior Manager Programs & Performance to lead the Flight Operations strategy, drive business performance, and deliver key transformation programs. This role serves as the key connection between Flight Operations and broader business stakeholders, driving the identification, governance, and execution of strategic priorities for operational excellence and long-term business success.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic direction, performance and transformation of Flight Operations
- Drive major programs, workforce planning and business improvement initiatives
- Lead the development of strategic roadmaps
- Establish performance metrics and reporting frameworks
- Oversee major projects and transformation initiatives
- Ensure Flight Crew resourcing supports operational requirements from long-term planning through to day-of-operations execution
Requirements
- 10+ years' experience in a senior strategy, program management, project management, or operational leadership role within a complex organisation
- Demonstrated success developing and implementing strategic plans, transformation programs and large-scale business initiatives
- Strong experience in program and project management, including governance, risk management, budgeting and benefits realisation
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across senior leadership teams
- Experience working in complex operational environments with an understanding of workforce planning and resource management challenges
- Strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving capability, with a focus on data-driven decision making
- Experience with change management principles, business case development, and leading continuous improvement initiatives
- Right to work in Australia/New Zealand without restrictions or sponsorship
