About the Role
This role offers a chance to make your mark in a business with a strong people and customer focus. You will combine leadership, relationship building, and technical solution delivery as part of the Microsoft 365 Centre of Excellence across Australia. The Microsoft 365 Specialist acts as the technical escalation point, delivering a first-class experience for Modern Workplace services and guiding customers towards adoption and continuous improvement within the Microsoft 365 stack. The focus is on Microsoft 365 enablement and productivity outcomes, covering workloads in data, files, communications, collaboration, security, identity, and access management.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a first-class experience for consumers of Modern Workplace services.
- Guide business and customers towards adoption and continuous improvement with the Microsoft 365 stack.
- Focus on Microsoft 365 enablement and productivity outcomes.
- Manage workloads spanning data, files, communications, and collaboration.
- Oversee security and identity and access management.
Requirements
- Must be an Australian Citizen.
- Previous experience in an ICT Professional Services organisation.
- Extensive hands-on experience as a Microsoft 365 Engineer.
- Extensive knowledge of core collaboration services in Office 365 including Exchange Online Mailbox Management, Exchange Online Protection, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for Business.
- Extensive knowledge of core AzureAD identity management and related objects including Users, Traditional Groups (Security, Distribution), Office 365 Groups, Devices, and Guest Users (External Users).
- Working knowledge of AzureAD identity and authentication technologies including Azure AD Connect, Password Hash Sync, Pass-thru Authentication, Seamless SSO, ADFS, Azure MFA, and SSPR.
Skills
- Microsoft identity management (AzureAD, AD Connect, ADFS and Microsoft Identity Manager)
- Modern business collaboration tools in the Office 365 suite – Teams, Planner, Groups, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Yammer etc.
- Collaboration and video conferencing solutions like Teams, and ancillary systems like Poly, Cisco and Zoom
- Competitor solutions in IT platforms
- Email security and archive technologies (Office 365 ATP/EOP, Mimecast, Avepoint)
