About the Role
The Clinical Physician 2 Physiatrist provides comprehensive management and oversight for patients in the acute rehabilitation program, actively managing care, interacting with staff, and leading the care team to maximize patient recovery. The role involves participating in quality improvement projects and mentoring PMR residents at a teaching institution.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient care within the acute rehabilitation program.
- Interact with staff and lead the care team.
- Participate in quality improvement projects.
- Mentor PMR residents.
Requirements
- Possession of a license and current registration to practice medicine in New York State.
- Two years of post-licensure medical experience.
Skills
- Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary care teams.
- Ability to participate in family conferences and patient/resident family education.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to patient-centered care.
- Engagement in evidence-based practice.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
