About the Role
Join our friendly charity retail team in Teddington as an Assistant Manager. This role supports a great cause by connecting with the local community and turning donations into meaningful impact. You will use your retail management experience to drive sales, source quality items from donations, and build a customer base and network of donors. Every item sold funds vital work supporting sick, injured, and homeless pets. You will be a positive role model, guiding volunteers to create a welcoming shopping experience, supporting volunteer recruitment and training, merchandising, and providing quality customer service.
Responsibilities
- Drive forward sales
- Source quality fashion, accessories, and homeware from donations
- Build a solid customer base and network of generous donors
- Guide the team of volunteers
- Create a friendly and welcoming shopping experience
- Support the recruitment and training of new volunteers
- Share knowledge of merchandising
- Provide quality customer service to those both purchasing and donating
Requirements
- Previous experience of working in a retail environment
- Cash handling and reconciliation experience
- Experience of leading a team
- Experience of providing great customer experience
- Computer and administration skills
