About the Role
Lead our Social Strategy, Platform & Culture team, defining the social-first creative future for global and national brands and setting the industry agenda for great social media. Push innovation in craft and operations to evolve a high-performing team, establish scalable processes, and unlock social creativity for brands.
Responsibilities
- Write and oversee inspiring social strategies, channel plans, and culture-first content briefs.
- Run a team of social and content strategists, focusing on talent development.
- Partner with the Head of Strategy & Innovation to develop the team’s vision, differentiation, growth opportunities, and roadmap.
- Own, reshape, and scale the agency’s ‘Newsroom’ product.
- Identify future trends in social and culture to pioneer new market approaches.
- Collaborate with other team leads within Strategy & Innovation to develop team culture and standards.
- Help develop AI-powered agency products and tools to improve craft and efficiency.
- Sell to clients with enthusiasm, clarity, and conviction.
- Work with brand strategists, creatives, content creators, research specialists, influencer experts, and client service teams.
- Grow relationships with key senior clients and push the work forward.
- Engage with communities and guide brands by staying ahead of social trends and cultural moments.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in social strategy roles at progressing seniority.
- Deep understanding of what resonates with social audiences.
- Living and breathing social and pop culture.
- Exceptional presentation skills.
- Ability to prioritize fast and work quickly while maintaining high standards.
- Experience and demonstrable interest in mentoring team members and nurturing talent.
- Deep knowledge of social platforms and their deployment for consumer reach, brand building, and innovative creative work.
- Comfortable being a thought leader and industry expert.
- Experience managing successful teams, including process, resourcing, and ops oversight.
