About the Role

Wellways is seeking a Support Worker to interact with and support participants with daily activities. This role involves working on the front line of Consumer Directed Services, delivering a wide range of services to support participants' daily living, including personal care, domestic assistance, continence management, feeding, and mobilization. The role requires close collaboration with individuals to ensure their specific needs are met and actively contributing to the continuous improvement of care.

Responsibilities

Deliver a wide range of services to support participants' activities of daily living such as personal care, domestic assistance, continence management, feeding and mobilising.
Work closely with the person to ensure their individual needs are met.
Provide support with activities of daily living such as companionship, transport, shopping, meal preparation, domestic assistance and medication management.
Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of care provided to participants.
Provide Wellways support services to ensure participants are supported to live a fulfilling and meaningful life in the community.
Work across Wellways teams and with various external stakeholders which include the NDIA, other disability service providers, families, and health professionals within the circle of participants.

Requirements

Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services or related fields (an advantage but not mandatory) or relevant experience
A current valid Driver's License and a registered, insured vehicle
Satisfactory Police Records Check [less than 12 months old]
NSW Working with Children Check
Current First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain one
NDIS Workers Screening Check
NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
Successful applicants must undergo a comprehensive screening process prior to their commencement.

$46.70 p/h (SCHADS - Level 2.2 B)
