About the Role

The Golden State Warriors are seeking a Data Engineer to influence data pipelines and warehouse operations, collaborating with data science and analytics teams. This role is crucial for daily data operations, requiring a responsive approach, especially during the NBA season. Join a growing sports and entertainment organization that values initiative and dedication.

Responsibilities

• Developing batch and streaming / event-driven data pipelines
• Data modeling and transformation for analytics and reporting
• Deploy predictive models into production
• Implement data validation and quality checks across pipeline stages
• Manage data pipelines during in-season operations
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 4+ years of data engineering or similar experience
• 3+ years of data operations or similar on-call experience
• Experience writing scalable ETL/ELT
• Experience with orchestration software like Airflow or Dagster
• Experience with transformation tools like dbt
• Experience working with cloud providers like GCP or AWS
• Git proficiency
• Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to build positive working relationships with business partners and peers at all levels within the organization
• Ability to balance multiple projects at once in a fast-paced work environment
