About the Role

AI is changing how software gets built, fast, and we'd rather shape that than watch it happen. We're building our AI practice now, across the work we do for clients and the way we build internally, and we want someone to own it end to end. This isn't a strategy-deck role. You'll shape the vision for AI transformation across the business, set the technical agenda, and then actually build the thing. You'll be hands on with LLM APIs and agentic coding tools, and you'll be the person who gets the rest of the team building that way too.

Responsibilities

Own a portfolio of AI transformation objectives across clients and internally.
Translate real business needs into practical digital products.
Design elegant solutions to demanding technical problems.
Ship early versions of products yourself.
Bring colleagues along by experimenting, guiding, and supporting them.
Move between keyboard and boardroom, translating between technical and business audiences.
Get people genuinely excited about the work.

Requirements

Strong understanding of software engineering workflows built around gen-AI.
Solid hands-on experience with agentic coding tools.
Experience building applications that interact with LLMs via APIs, as both a contributor and a leader.
A track record of modernizing ways of working and embedding AI-based practices in a team.
Technical team leadership.
Versatile software development (Python, AWS, JavaScript/TypeScript, etc).
Architectural solution design.
Organisational programme management.
Agile delivery.
Stakeholder reporting.
Strategic thinking and planning.
