About the Role

The Engineering Technician will independently produce engineering design plans for public works and land development projects using AutoCAD. This role involves collaborating with an engineering design team from concept to final plan production, and drafting various sketches, plans, and exhibits using CAD.

Responsibilities

• Carries out tasks assigned by the Project Lead and engineering team.
• Drafts grading, drainage, utility, street frontage improvements, and stormwater management plans in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Prepares drawings per company and public agency CAD standards and project-dependent CAD specifications.

Requirements

• 0-2 years of experience in a position requiring intensive AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
• Experience drafting on-site and off-site improvement drawings for land development projects.
• General knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office, Adobe, and the Internet.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for field checks.
• Ability to lift and/or carry items up to 20 lbs.
