About the Role

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a distributed SRE team focused on production infrastructure. You will support the team and drive a roadmap to ensure Radar's services are scalable and highly available globally. Radar is a high-throughput, data-intensive application processing over 1 billion API calls daily and has been used on over 300 million devices worldwide. A key initiative is enhancing our multi-availability zone architecture to be multi-region.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, grow, and mentor a globally distributed SRE team
  • Oversee observability, monitoring, and incident management practices
  • Work on core Radar infrastructure using Terraform, deployed to AWS via EKS
  • Collaborate with product, data, platform, and security engineers to ensure highly-available, scalable, and reliable software
  • Champion automation and self-service capabilities over manual processes
  • Ground perspectives on AI-assisted tooling
  • Drive critical company-level initiatives such as 99.99+% availability, multi-region deployment, and cloud cost-saving
  • Ensure compliance and security by default in processes and infrastructure by partnering with GRC and security teams
  • Ensure work is used by hundreds of millions of devices
  • Participate in the on-call rotation
  • Engage with Radar customers and prospects to gather feedback, incorporate it into work, and ensure their success

Requirements

  • Ability to dive deep into production issues
  • Experience managing a production AWS environment via Terraform
  • Experience with high availability multi-region production infrastructure running on Kubernetes
  • Experience managing large sharded Mongo clusters with heavy read-write workloads
  • Experience at a high-growth startup
  • Interest in talking to customers or prospects and making them successful
