About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Interface Designer to help us build a world-class monetization platform. As a designer in Monetization, you will dream up innovative new ways for advertisers and creators to find success on Snapchat. You will work with a cross-functional team of product managers, engineers, product researchers, and data scientists to build products and experiences that help big brands, small businesses, and creators build value with our community.

Responsibilities

  • Conceive of innovative new features and pitch those features to the product and engineering teams
  • Be a driver for all aspects of product design and execution, including pitching ideas, designing the experience (visual design, interaction design, and prototyping), and communicating the solutions to necessary audiences within the company
  • Design beautiful, simple, innovative, and intuitive experiences and flows
  • Identify the needs of Advertisers, Creators, and Snapchatters, give high-level strategic input, and improve existing products and features
  • Define the short and long-term roadmap for your product area(s)
  • Regularly give and receive feedback on designs and strategic product decisions
  • Communicate design decisions to leadership, product and design peers, and engineers
  • Improve and evolve our enterprise design system

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent years of work experience
  • 5+ years of experience designing web and mobile applications
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your work
  • Experience using AI tools for design and prototyping
  • Demonstrated experience with web tools, advertising tools specifically, and or mobile payments
  • Deep understanding of Snapchat products

  • Expert communicator who can effectively communicate a design and vision
  • Ability to inspire and drive end-to-end product and feature improvements
  • Strong visual design and interaction design skills
  • Ability to prototype interactive mobile experiences
  • Ability to think at a high level about product strategy
  • Ability to think creatively and develop novel solutions
  • Self-motivated attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous work environment

Salary/Compensations

  • Zone A (CA, WA, NYC): $190,000-$284,000 annually
  • Zone B: $181,000-$270,000 annually
  • Zone C: $162,000-$241,000 annually
