About the Role

Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the seafood department, ensuring budgeting, financial aspects, merchandising, and inventory levels are optimized for sales. The role focuses on providing excellent customer service and accurate order processing.

Responsibilities

• Ordering all seafood product merchandise and supplies, including fresh and frozen products.
• Learning product movement history to apply to accurate ordering.
• Ensuring proper training and scheduling of new associates within the seafood department.
• Communicating company rules and regulations to all Seafood associates.
• Operating special programs within the Seafood department, such as the fried fish program, marinade program, and demo programs.
• Maintaining seafood department records and adhering to predetermined budgets (financial aspects, payroll, wrap).
• Displaying and expressing complete knowledge of all seafood products to customers.
• Maintaining a neat, clean, and organized workstation according to 5S standards.
• Ensuring inventory control of both fresh and frozen products.
• Managing the presentation and outlays of all displays for the entire department.
• Ensuring a high level of customer courtesy and service, including accuracy of special orders.
• Ensuring all associates adhere to company and state sanitation procedures and regulations.
• Maintaining all factors of the computer-generated ordering system.
• Ensuring the ice display is set to correct standards daily.
• Controlling shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.
• Performing other related duties as assigned by management.
• Adhering to all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.
• Satisfactory performance reviews.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic Computer skills.
