About the Role

Lead the strategy and execution of a portfolio of software, automation, and digital products to improve customer productivity, process performance, and operational efficiency in bioprocessing.

Responsibilities

  • Define product strategy and develop long-term roadmaps.
  • Identify market opportunities and guide portfolio investments.
  • Partner across the organization to deliver differentiated solutions.
  • Define product vision, prioritize investments, and guide products throughout their lifecycle.
  • Translate customer insights into product strategies.
  • Evaluate customer workflows, market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies.
  • Develop business cases and support annual operating plans.
  • Lead new product introductions and monitor portfolio performance.
  • Build strong relationships across internal teams and external partners.
  • Engage directly with customers, commercial teams, and industry stakeholders.
  • Gather market insights and validate product direction.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Product Management, Digital Products, Software, Automation, Scientific Instruments, or related technical leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing product strategies within life sciences, industrial automation, manufacturing, or related industries.
  • Experience managing software-enabled, automation, or connected product portfolios.
  • Proven success developing multi-year product roadmaps and leading products from concept through commercialization.
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, portfolio strategy, pricing, and business case development.
  • Experience gathering customer insights and translating them into product requirements and commercial opportunities.
  • Experience working effectively across engineering, commercial, operations, and manufacturing organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders across a global matrix organization.
  • Proven people leadership experience with the ability to coach and develop high-performing product teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority across diverse functional teams.
  • Experience with software, automation, digital technologies, or scientific instrumentation.
  • Understanding of manufacturing, laboratory, or bioprocessing workflows.
  • Experience developing customer-centric products in technically complex markets.
  • Experience building collaborative relationships with strategic partners and technology providers.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and portfolio management capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (25–30%).
