About the Role
Lead the strategy and execution of a portfolio of software, automation, and digital products to improve customer productivity, process performance, and operational efficiency in bioprocessing.
Responsibilities
- Define product strategy and develop long-term roadmaps.
- Identify market opportunities and guide portfolio investments.
- Partner across the organization to deliver differentiated solutions.
- Define product vision, prioritize investments, and guide products throughout their lifecycle.
- Translate customer insights into product strategies.
- Evaluate customer workflows, market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies.
- Develop business cases and support annual operating plans.
- Lead new product introductions and monitor portfolio performance.
- Build strong relationships across internal teams and external partners.
- Engage directly with customers, commercial teams, and industry stakeholders.
- Gather market insights and validate product direction.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Product Management, Digital Products, Software, Automation, Scientific Instruments, or related technical leadership roles.
- Demonstrated success developing and executing product strategies within life sciences, industrial automation, manufacturing, or related industries.
- Experience managing software-enabled, automation, or connected product portfolios.
- Proven success developing multi-year product roadmaps and leading products from concept through commercialization.
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, portfolio strategy, pricing, and business case development.
- Experience gathering customer insights and translating them into product requirements and commercial opportunities.
- Experience working effectively across engineering, commercial, operations, and manufacturing organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders across a global matrix organization.
- Proven people leadership experience with the ability to coach and develop high-performing product teams.
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen.
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
- Ability to influence without direct authority across diverse functional teams.
- Experience with software, automation, digital technologies, or scientific instrumentation.
- Understanding of manufacturing, laboratory, or bioprocessing workflows.
- Experience developing customer-centric products in technically complex markets.
- Experience building collaborative relationships with strategic partners and technology providers.
- Strong analytical, financial, and portfolio management capabilities.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (25–30%).
