About the Role
Ashurst Perkins Coie US LLP is seeking a mid-level associate with 4-6 years of experience to join their complex litigation group. This role involves defending clients in high-stakes, complex litigation matters of national and international significance, with a focus on product liability and commercial issues within the aviation and transportation sectors.
Responsibilities
- Defend clients in high-stakes, complex litigation matters of national and international significance.
- Focus on product liability and commercial matters involving the aviation and transportation industry sectors.
- Manage all stages of litigation, including pre-trial discovery, motions practice, working with experts, and trial.
Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience.
- Excellent writing skills, demonstrated by experience gained through a clerkship, law review, moot court or publication.
- Experience with all stages of litigation, including pre-trial discovery, motions practice, working with experts, and trial.
- Superior academic credentials.
- Willingness to commit to excellent client service and a client-centered practice.
- Comfort with analyzing complex legal issues, such as contractual, jurisdictional, choice-of-law, and admiralty law issues.
- Clerkship experience, especially at the appellate level, is strongly preferred.
- Strong interest in the field of aviation, and/or a technical background in aerospace or mechanical engineering, computer science, or life sciences is encouraged but not required.
- Must attach cover letter, resume, law school transcript, and a writing sample.
