About the Role
The Field Marketing Manager, East will drive Wayground's regional go-to-market strategy by managing the event calendar, webinar programs, and channel partnerships to generate sales opportunities. This role operates within a regionally-focused go-to-market function that emphasizes localized execution to win K-12 business, mirroring the fragmented nature of K-12 purchasing decisions. You will collaborate with Sales Managers, District AE-led sales pods, the regional Enablement Manager, and the central brand team, reporting to the Lead, K-12 Marketing, East.
Responsibilities
- Own the regional event calendar, including planning, producing, and executing presence at state conferences, ISTE, ESA gatherings, channel-partner events, and experimental events.
- Curate and host regional events such as superintendent roundtables, district leader briefings, and regional benchmark sessions.
- Drive event ROI measurement, including pipeline contribution, channel-partner relationship health, and sales follow-up on event-sourced leads.
- Lead a regional webinar series, managing concept, programming, production, and distribution to convert district-level audiences into pipeline.
- Translate centralized content into webinar formats suitable for district leaders, decision-makers, and procurement audiences.
- Coordinate with Lifecycle Marketing on email distribution, segmentation, and nurture campaigns for the webinar funnel.
- Build and maintain operational relationships with ESA networks, East-specific funding programs, regional CTE networks, state superintendent associations, and state technology leadership networks.
- Run channel-partner co-marketing initiatives, including joint events, content, and campaigns.
- Develop marketing programs that individual sales pods cannot execute alone, such as regional demand and ABM motions, state-level brand activations, and coordinated channel-partner pushes.
- Collaborate on regional plays produced by the Storyteller team and equip sales pods to run regional campaigns.
- Run field marketing programs to support District AEs across all pods in the region.
- Measure and report on regionally sourced and influenced pipeline, event ROI, and cost per opportunity.
- Own channel attribution within the region.
- Report weekly on activation pipeline, event performance, and channel-partner relationship status.
- Surface successful strategies to the centralized Storyteller team, Community Lead, and peer Enablement Manager to improve the system.
Requirements
- 5+ years in field marketing, channel marketing, regional marketing, or a comparable B2B GTM execution role.
- Demonstrated track record producing and operating events at scale, with end-to-end ownership of state-level conferences, partner events, or comparable channel programs.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration with sales, content, and partnership teams.
- Comfortable as the marketing peer to a regional sales leader.
- Data orientation with experience in channel attribution, pipeline measurement, and ROI analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- NYC-region residence required.
- Hands-on experience with marketing automation, webinar platforms, and event production tooling.
- Ability to move quickly, take initiative, and adapt to shifting priorities.
