About the Role
The IT Systems Analyst will be the technical right hand of the IT function, acting as a generalist with experience across helpdesk, desktop, and mobile support. The primary focus is analyzing, tracking, and resolving business processes within the ERP system (VIP), treating system issues as business-process issues and driving them to resolution.
Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day VIP queue, including intake, triage, and resolution of ERP issues across finance, warehouse, route accounting, and sales.
- Diagnose and resolve order processing errors, invoicing and pricing discrepancies, inventory and reconciliation variances, and reporting problems.
- Serve as the primary liaison to VIP support, opening and managing tickets, and tracking issues through development.
- Partner with department owners to redesign or tighten processes behind recurring issues.
- Coordinate VIP release upgrades and monthly modifications, including testing against Big Geyser's workflows.
- Resolve EDI transaction failures with VIP, coordinating with VIP, trading partners, and internal teams.
- Support and troubleshoot platforms that feed and extend VIP, such as the Retailer Portal/ecommerce, purchasing and forecasting, iDIG reporting, and iOS field apps.
- Translate business needs into practical, workable solutions in collaboration with Finance, Operations, Warehouse, and Sales.
- Generate, validate, and troubleshoot SQL-based reports and dashboards from the VIP data warehouse.
- Utilize SSRS and comparable BI/reporting tools to analyze operational data and build actionable insights.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting for end-user devices, warehouse handhelds, mobile printers, and Microsoft 365.
- Manage the mobile fleet, including device provisioning, MDM, and carrier coordination.
- Handle user and mailbox lifecycle, access control, email security, and eDiscovery/litigation-hold requests.
- Maintain structure within the IT service-desk platform (ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus), including categories, workflows, and SLAs.
- Support IT projects such as implementations, site build-outs, and automation.
- Coordinate with VIP, EDI partners, carriers, logistics vendors, and the Managed Service Provider (MSP) on issues and infrastructure.
- Act as a second-in-command to the VP of IT, assisting with workload prioritization.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior support staff.
- Document IT processes and knowledge to prevent knowledge silos.
