About the Role
The Leasing Professional role requires high energy and an intense desire to make a real difference in people's lives, with a commitment to anticipate and exceed the expectations of residents and prospects. This diverse role combines sales, customer service, and marketing to lease apartment homes and build excellent relationships. The ideal candidate will be proactive in anticipating and exceeding expectations in all areas of the Leasing Professional role.
Responsibilities
- Greet and qualify prospects professionally using guest cards in our Lead Management Software
- Tour and present the community in a compelling way and assisting prospective residents with finding the right apartment home
- Conduct all functions necessary to close the sale, including making appointments, generating new leads, conducting tours, maintaining show rooms, and any follow-up necessary
- Manage the leasing/renewal process from start to finish
- Respond to telephone and internet inquiries from residents and prospects to schedule virtual, self-guided, and in-person tours
- Collaborate with the property maintenance team to ensure prompt responses and completion of resident service requests in line with the company's standards
- Assist prospects with applications and deposits, adhering to company procedures and Fair Housing requirements
- Keep an updated availability report, process applications with credit checks and rental history verification, then submit them for approval
- Promote resident satisfaction and retention by promptly responding to questions and requests and taking appropriate actions to resolve service issues
Requirements
- Ability to access all apartment homes and parts of the community to show the home to potential residents; inspect all areas of community, etc.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge and understanding of operations including people management, financial reporting, problem-solving, sales, maintenance and resident relations.
- Ability to visually inspect apartment homes, grounds, and other aspects of the community to determine that standards are met
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize duties and responsibilities
- Mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, and to attend meetings at various locations
