About the Role
Hedge Fund Client Support Associates deliver operational support and build relationships with global clients. They address inquiries on investment and accounting matters, acting as a liaison between clients and internal teams to resolve issues efficiently and foster client advocacy.
Responsibilities
- Manage client inquiries and requests regarding investment accounting, asset classes, and financial markets.
- Provide timely and accurate information for Financial Statements & Analytics Reporting.
- Complete operational tasks including account setup, client lockdowns, compliance, and reconciliation validation.
- Collaborate directly with clients to build relationships and enhance their user experience.
- Validate investment data against third-party market data sources and use proprietary tools for reconciling investment transactions.
- Utilize knowledge base and documentation to proactively solve client queries using internal tools and resources.
- Manage workflow based on productivity and quality metrics, prioritizing high-importance or critical work.
- Undertake team and client-related long-term projects, potentially collaborating with other internal teams.
- Handle complex client queries.
- Assist in training, developing, and coaching junior staff, and oversee their work.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of investment accounting, financial statements, amortization, interest income, and other accounting concepts.
- Familiarity with core Accounting, Compliance, Risk, and Performance reports.
- Intermediate understanding of fixed income and equity investments; basic knowledge of alternative security types preferred.
- Prior experience in finance and/or accounting.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
