About the Role
The Senior Project Manager is a creative problem-solver tasked with managing complex clients. This role requires strategic thinking, collaboration with discipline leads, risk mitigation, and elevated delivery of work. The Senior PM will expand their skills as a leader on client and PM teams.
Responsibilities
- Plan, execute and track integrated projects from briefing to delivery, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
- Oversee the production of digital deliverables.
- Ensure internal efficiency of time and resources.
- Act as a partner to each department, adding value to the team.
- Proactively identify and solve problems.
- Optimize communication flow among the internal team, working effectively across the agency.
- Provide oversight and mentorship for less senior Project Managers.
- Interact with clients as a senior project leader.
- Partner with account leadership and project teams to deliver work and identify strategies and solutions that meet client needs within constraints.
- Provide analysis, insights and strategic solutions for project or account-related issues concerning budgets, resources, and delivery.
- Motivate teams positively, fostering teamwork and creativity.
- Identify and undertake special projects beyond the existing workload.
- Provide weekly or daily hot sheets to key internal stakeholders and track completion.
- Ensure notes are captured in internal meetings and distribute summarized feedback.
- Develop and own project plans, maintaining timelines throughout key project stage gates across a large client portfolio.
- Create detailed project plans and optimize them throughout the project lifecycle.
- Determine resource needs at the account and project level, collaborating with the Resource Director for efficient staff utilization.
- Think strategically about resource utilization and optimization, considering client needs and cross-discipline perspectives.
- Anticipate and remove obstacles to allow resources to focus on tasks.
- Facilitate cross-discipline alignment on task assignments, teams, communication, and action items.
- Ensure team members track their hours appropriately and analyze burn data at the resource level.
- Organize and request the opening of job numbers in advance of work.
- Track, analyze, and mitigate risk against actual hours billed.
- Create SOWs detailing scope items and delivery assumptions.
- Ensure client signature and authorization before beginning work.
- Provide monthly budget reconciliations, analysis, and proposed solutions to Director of Project Management and Account leads, showing progress against plan.
- Track scope delivery status and actual vs. planned hours per project/brand/account.
