About the Role
The Medicare Sales Representative is responsible for educating Medicare-eligible individuals on their healthcare coverage options while building lasting client relationships through consultative sales and exceptional service. This role combines company-provided leads with an established client base while continuing to grow your own book of business through referrals, community involvement, and company-generated opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with prospective Medicare beneficiaries and guide them through their coverage options
- Educate clients on Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, Prescription Drug Plans, and related products
- Conduct client consultations by phone, virtually, and in person to identify coverage needs and recommend appropriate solutions
- Follow up on company-provided leads while actively developing referral relationships and prospecting opportunities within the community
- Attend networking events, educational seminars, community events, and other business development opportunities as needed
- Maintain accurate client records within agency systems and document all client interactions
- Ensure compliance with all CMS regulations, carrier requirements, and company policies
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the sales and enrollment process while fostering long-term client relationships
- Maintain strong personal initiative, professionalism, and commitment to providing outstanding client experiences
- Perform additional sales or administrative duties as assigned
Requirements
- Active NYS Health Insurance License preferred; licensing sponsorship available for qualified candidates
- Medicare insurance experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with a proven track record in sales, relationship management, or customer service who demonstrate a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to build trust and establish long-term client relationships
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
- Comfortable learning new products, regulations, and technology platforms
