About the Role

BYD is seeking a Product Manager to manage existing product portfolios from its London office. This role is available due to the company's successful growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage existing product portfolios.
• Lead the conceptual design of the platform in the early stage.
• Propose and prepare R&D feature prioritization list with R&D for management approval.
• Develop, monitor, evaluate and standardize key metrics and product analytics to improve technical and customer/business performance.
• Gather relevant product and supplier information across departments.
• Monitor supplier reliability, lead-time, alternatives and prices.
• Manage the process of root cause analysis and product improvement for customer and product problems.
• Work alongside business development, R&D, technical management, project management, and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Knowledge about the Automotive industry is highly advantageous.
• Experience with High Tech Start-up / Electric Vehicles / Alternative Energy / Batteries is desirable.
• Strong and effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills in English.
• Business level Chinese language would be beneficial but not essential.
• Proactivity and attention to the details and time-discipline.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to translate customer needs into product and technology dependencies.
• Comfortable with ambiguity; self-starter and purpose driven; strong sense of curiosity; experience with dashboard and metrics.
• Demonstrated experience in working with an international team.
• Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others.
