About the Role
The Relationship Specialist assists Relationship Managers with new and existing complex clients, acting as a trusted advisor. This role ensures the delivery of products and services by managing the end-to-end documentation process and collaborating with internal partners.
Responsibilities
- Assists the RM with individual annual production and growth goals for Business Development Officers.
- Assists the RM with documentation needs for new accounts, cash management services, lending products, and day-to-day documents.
- Assists the RM with daily client needs such as statement reconciliation, statement requests, address changes, online banking changes, check ordering, debit card ordering, and other client needs.
- Assists the RM with BSA exceptions, new account exceptions, and BO certifications.
- Develops a comprehensive understanding of client needs through analysis of financial data.
- Develops and maintains in-depth knowledge of products and services.
- Maintains compliance with all bank regulations and completes required annual training.
- Stays up-to-date on regulation changes.
- Follows all Bank policies and procedures.
- May be asked to mentor or train others.
- Provides practical ideas and perspectives on process improvement.
- Actively engages with and fosters the Five Star Bank Mission, Vision, and Values.
- Assists Relationship Manager with customer follow-up for loan and deposit documentation.
- May assist with writing processes and/or procedures for the Customer Experience Team.
- Complies with all Anti-Money Laundering Laws and Regulations.
Requirements
- Five+ years of work experience in the same capacity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Acute attention to detail.
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
- Working knowledge of the personal computer; Word, Excel, and other necessary programs.
