About the Role

Under the direction of the Manager, Information Technology, the incumbent will provide technical support services to all Gallery technology users; install, maintain, troubleshoot and upgrade computer hardware, software, and peripheral equipment; and provide secondary technical and user support to specialized systems as required.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoots issues with IT computer systems, including hardware, software, e-mail, network, and peripheral equipment problems.
  • Makes repairs, corrections, and updates to configurations as required.
  • Works with 3rd party vendors to resolve issues.
  • Installs, assembles, and configures computers, monitors, network infrastructure, and peripherals.
  • Installs drop cables and rewires or directs rewiring of cables for new installations and office reconfiguration.
  • Installs, configures, and upgrades operating systems and software.
  • May modify specific applications for use in operational departments.
  • Maintains up-to-date documentation of system configurations.
  • Assists in the design and deployment of new technologies (upgrades, implementations, enhancements).
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience and expertise with Windows, MacOS, iOS and Android is essential.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of related and progressively responsible experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Directly related high-level knowledge and experience of support and administration on Microsoft Windows Server (2016 and above), Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft Exchange (2016 and above).
  • Proven experience with the Microsoft Office suite (2013, 2016, Office for Mac).
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking.
  • Strong documentation and discovery skills.
  • Well-developed verbal, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly and in a calm manner.
