About the Role

This front-office, client-facing role is responsible for managing RBC's credit relationships with specified Hedge Fund managers globally. The incumbent will cross-sell all RBC and RBC Capital Markets products, partner with trading desks to optimize credit appetite and trading line usage, and maximize revenue with Hedge Fund managers on a global basis. The role ensures necessary support for trading desks to meet revenue targets and coordinates coverage of Hedge Fund managers with related entities.

Responsibilities

  • Advise product partners on optimal trading credit required to meet strategic objectives.
  • Provide continuous advice on the balance of risk and return for specific trading activities.
  • Prepare credit approval submissions and related documentation for approvals, amendments, trading lines, and exposure reviews.
  • Leverage network to tackle challenging transaction requests.
  • Assist in transactional opportunities for RBC trading businesses and promote sales for various products.
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of marketing pitches to existing and potential clients in coordination with Capital Markets and other RBC Partners.
  • Serve as the credit relationship manager and assist in cross-selling Capital Markets and Bank products.
  • Maintain accurate counterparty compliance reports, including NAV and performance data.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of credit risks associated with Hedge Funds and their trading products.
  • Proven record of successfully managing a credit relationship to Hedge Funds.
  • Credit trained.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication, business development, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks while meeting time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Strong financial accounting skills.
  • Strong analytical, technical, written, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Capital Markets product base and its application.
  • Understanding of ISDA documentation, netting, and CSAs.
  • Excellent knowledge of Credit and Credit Risk.
