About the Role

Ambrook is rebuilding the financial infrastructure for independent operators, offering modern tools for accounting, banking, and spending. This role involves guiding owner-operators to the right financial solutions, managing the sales cycle from first contact to activation, and providing valuable product feedback. The position is contract-to-hire, with the expectation of converting to full-time upon meeting performance benchmarks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Ambrook demos end-to-end, guiding customers through the product and closing deals independently.
  • Close initial deals and meet scaled target numbers.
  • Activate customers by connecting banks, categorizing transactions, and sending invoices.
  • Establish strong relationships with team members and cross-functional peers.
  • Master pipeline management and essential tools like HubSpot, Nooks, and Slack.
  • Develop a deep understanding of small-business finance across core verticals and customer needs.
  • Answer product-related questions and provide detailed feedback to product teams.
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales quotas.
  • Drive adoption of fintech and Full Service features to ensure long-term customer retention.
  • Qualify and serve owner-operators across multiple verticals, tailoring pitches and setups to specific financial realities (e.g., P&L for ag, job costing for contractors, AR velocity for high-volume invoicers, per-property economics for landlords).
  • Understand market alternatives and position Ambrook effectively.
  • Interview, collaborate with, and help train peers and new team members.
  • Surface themes from customer conversations to identify ICP prospects that can be served without a sales call.

Requirements

  • Proven sales experience is valued, but diverse backgrounds are welcome.
  • Direct operator experience in farm, ranch, construction, or trades is beneficial.
  • Experience in hospitality, retail, or door-to-door sales, demonstrating ability to handle high-volume, high-pressure environments with a customer-centric approach.
  • A thoughtful, compassionate, and empathetic approach to interactions.
  • Experience with product-led growth, sales-assist, activation/onboarding, or channel-partner motions is a plus.
  • Experience in American real-economy industries like ag, trucking, construction, trades, or property management is a plus.
  • Experience in fintech or accounting/bookkeeping is a plus.
