About the Role

This role supports the Program Director in developing academic course offerings, managing faculty, and fostering alumni relations, student activities, and community outreach. The position also involves assessing recruitment strategies, overseeing the admissions process, and participating in events to support student admissions and retention.

Responsibilities

  • Develop academic course offerings with the Program Director and scheduling team.
  • Assist the Program Director in hiring and supporting adjunct faculty.
  • Collaborate with the Program Director and Faculty to facilitate alumni relations, student activities, community outreach, partnerships, and initiatives.
  • Assess recruitment strategies and manage the application review and admissions process.
  • Participate in events and communications that support the admissions process and retention of matriculated students.
  • Work closely with Department Administration on special projects.
  • Collaborate with and offer cross-program support for projects and initiatives involving partner programs.

Requirements

  • 2+ years relevant administrative experience.
  • 3+ years experience in higher education and an arts discipline relevant to the program (preferred).
  • Ability to provide advice, problem solve, and interact with individuals at all levels.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and writing skills.
  • Proficiency with productivity and database software.
  • Ability to arrive at creative solutions within university policies and protocols for a large, complex academic unit focused on art professions.
