About the Role
This is an emergency posting for a Sessional Lecturer position in the Department of English for the Fall 2026 academic session, in accordance with the Collective Agreement between The Governing Council of the University of Toronto and CUPE, Local 3902 (Unit 3).
Responsibilities
- All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration and marking of assignments; calculation and submission of grades; holding regular office hours.
- Completion of any course grading not finished by December 31, 2026 for Fall courses.
Requirements
- Graduate degree in English, Creative Writing related field, or relevant teaching experience.
- Strong academic record and professional promise.
- Strong publishing record is an asset.
- Teaching experience at the university level is an asset.
