About the Role
A kind couple on the Upper East Side seeks a knowledgeable and supportive part-time nanny for their baby, born in April, to start in August. The schedule is 3 days per week, 5 hours per day (15 hours total weekly), with flexibility on specific days (Monday-Thursday). Optional additional hours for date nights are available.
Responsibilities
- Full infant care including changing diapers and restocking supplies
- Managing baby laundry: washing, folding, and putting away clothes
- Feeding the baby, preparing bottles, and assisting with introducing solids and purees
- Cleaning, sanitizing, and prepping bottles and baby-related items
- Engaging in developmentally appropriate play, singing, and reading
- Maintaining the baby's feeding and sleeping schedule
- Prioritizing the baby's safety and well-being at all times
- Providing professional guidance on baby care while respecting family preferences
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience working with infants, including newborns
- Possession of a US passport, Green Card, or EAC
- Up-to-date Tdap and MMR vaccinations or willingness to update them
- Comfortable working around a small, friendly, hypoallergenic dog
