About the Role
NFP, an Aon company, is seeking a Vice President for its Construction & Infrastructure Surety Division. This role focuses on strategic relationship management, client retention, and identifying new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a broad understanding of surety products and coverages.
- Supervise and manage the New York State Surety market for NFP, preferably operating out of the Albany office.
- Manage the overall relationship with assigned surety clients, developing and engaging multiple relationships within the client organization.
- Travel approximately 25%-40% to visit clients, engage in client development activities, and entertainment.
- Drive revenue growth on existing and new clients through a strategic consultative sales plan.
- Establish oneself as a self-starter leader with client account teams.
- Serve as the client’s primary point of contact and communication conduit for NFP.
- Cultivate internal and external relationships for effective collaboration, client advocacy, and trust.
- Develop a broad knowledge of internal operations to efficiently solve client needs.
- Maintain accurate records of client contacts and their products using account management software.
- Develop expertise and remain current in assigned client industry and/or market area, engaging in continuing education.
Requirements
- Must be a subject matter expert in the local contract & commercial surety market.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills capable of interacting with clients to cultivate strong relationships through effective communication and trust.
- Manages time effectively through excellent organization, time-management, and multi-tasking skills.
- Entrepreneurial attitude with a natural ability to own the overall success of client relationships.
