About the Role
Responsible for patient menu management, data collection, and diet office functions under the direction of the Patient Services Manager and/or Clinical Nutrition Manager. This role is crucial for ensuring patients receive appropriate nutritional care.
Responsibilities
- Distribute and collect menus.
- Assist patients in completing menu selections in compliance with prescribed diets.
- Offer menu alternatives based on prescribed diets, considering food allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences.
- Plan regular and modified menus according to the current diet manual.
- Prepare and distribute supplements, tube feedings, and enteral formula accurately and timely.
- Manage human/donor milk and/or infant formula, including preparation, distribution, and inventory.
- Adhere to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient's rights policies.
- Comply with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state, and TJC.
- Complete all required documentation, reports, and logs.
- Follow facility and department infection-control policies and procedures.
- Participate in facility-wide and department Performance Improvement Programs and teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Prior customer service experience is required, preferably in a call center or food services.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.
