About the Role

Canada Life is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineering Specialist to shape the future of workplace collaboration. This role involves engineering, lifecycle management, operational support, and continuous improvement of enterprise collaboration technologies like Microsoft Teams Rooms, audio-visual systems, and digital signage platforms. You will collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to deliver solutions supporting hybrid work and enhancing employee collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support Microsoft Teams Rooms and related collaboration technologies.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise standards for meeting room hardware, displays, cameras, microphones, room controls, and collaboration peripherals.
  • Evaluate emerging workplace technologies and conduct proof-of-concept assessments.
  • Maintain engineering documentation, deployment standards, and operational procedures.
  • Participate in room assessments, acoustic reviews, and workplace modernization initiatives.
  • Collaborate with AV integrators and vendors to deliver consistent enterprise solutions.
  • Participate in recurring operational reviews of enterprise meeting room services.
  • Support service health monitoring, problem management, and operational improvements.
  • Develop processes and standards that improve service quality and operational efficiency.
  • Lead and coordinate workplace technology deployment projects from planning through implementation.
  • Support meeting room upgrades, refresh, and new office build initiatives.
  • Participate in backlog prioritization, project planning, and operational reviews.
  • Coordinate implementation activities with internal teams, facilities groups, and external partners.
  • Build strong working relationships with technology vendors, manufacturers, and service providers.
  • Coordinate technology evaluations and product demonstrations.
  • Participate in technical reviews and solution assessments to support future technology roadmaps.

Requirements

  • Significant experience supporting enterprise collaboration technologies and workplace technology services.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms and meeting room technologies.
  • Knowledge of enterprise audio-visual systems and meeting room design principles.
  • Experience working with vendors, manufacturers, and implementation partners.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to create technical documentation, engineering standards, and operational procedures.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional technology projects.
  • Experience supporting digital signage platforms and display management technologies.
  • Experience conducting proof-of-concept evaluations and technology assessments.
  • Knowledge of workplace modernization and hybrid collaboration strategies.
  • Experience working within enterprise infrastructure and operations environments.
  • Experience working with ITSM systems such as ServiceNow.
