About the Role

Gordon Food Service is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver focused on customer service and relationship building. This role involves safely operating a Class A commercial vehicle on local routes, with approximately 80% of the job dedicated to customer interaction. Drivers will deliver products, provide exceptional service, and build lasting relationships with foodservice partners, ensuring they are home every night.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle on local delivery routes
Build strong relationships with customers through friendly, professional service
Serve as a trusted representative of Gordon Food Service at every stop
Deliver food products while ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction
Unload products using a two-wheel cart and ramp (cases up to 100 lbs.)
Complete deliveries efficiently while maintaining a positive customer experience

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age
Valid Class A CDL at the time of hire
Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads up to 350 pounds
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds throughout the shift
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English to safely perform job duties
Successfully pass a DOT drug screen (including marijuana) and background check
Clean driving record that meets DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
Registered with the DOT Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse and able to provide electronic consent
