About the Role
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is seeking a results-driven SLED Hunter to drive new business growth across the North territory, supporting State Government agencies and Higher Education institutions. This role involves identifying and developing new opportunities, building executive-level relationships, and leading complex sales cycles across HPE's enterprise portfolio. You will own a strategic territory, develop long-term account plans, and partner with internal teams to deliver customer outcomes and exceed revenue objectives. Responsibilities
- Articulates the connection between customer KPIs, business priorities, and IT solutions.
- Influences executive decision-making by describing the value of HPE's solutions.
- Positions HPE strategy and solutions as critically important to the customer's business.
- Understands and provides input into the customer's innovation agenda and digital journey.
- Builds a business value framework for the customer.
- Builds and executes a plan to drive growth and profitability across HPE's portfolio.
- Drives growth in HPE's strategic value portfolio by positioning these solutions.
- Formulates and presents technology choices to expand HPE's presence and margin.
- Leverages HPE programs and tools to improve business performance.
- Contributes to internal reviews connected to deals and sales planning.
- Engages with the customer to identify opportunities.
- Translates customer business challenges and goals into IT opportunities.
- Ensures a strong and rightsized pipeline funnel from the account team.
- Leads pipeline building activities for the account.
- Identifies and develops opportunities for short and mid-term success.
- Proactively leads early engagements.
- Accountable for deal closure.
- Ensures ownership throughout the team for deals in the pipeline.
- Drives deals to closure through a multi-disciplinary team, including partners.
- Develops and maintains a professional relationship network within the customer.
- Understands and leverages the underlying principles for the customer organization's functioning.
- Builds influential relationships with executives.
- Defines an effective engagement model with the customer's key influencers and decision makers.
- Develops and maintains a view of the partner landscape in the account.
- Develops partner relationships.
- Runs an active governance process for the partner network for the account.
- Works with the Partner Business Manager to assess and update the partner strategy for the account.
- Develops and updates expertise in IT technology.
- Engages with the customer's CTO/CIO.
- Articulates relevant modern IT trends and presents them to executives.
- Describes HPE's portfolio and references its use in other customers.
- Builds, develops, and leads the extended account team.
- Runs a governance with the extended team and empowers account team members.
- Establishes a recurring process to provide feedback to account team members and managers.
- Provides feedback into other HPE organizations and coordinates with other customer-facing HPE organizations.
- Utilizes HPE tools and processes for customer advocacy.
- Leverages existing tools, processes, and resources to assure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Develops and executes a comprehensive account business plan for defined accounts.
- Manages the collective effort to build and maintain strategic and tactical elements of the plan.
- Shares and aligns the plan with relevant stakeholders of the account.
Requirements
- 6+ years of successful enterprise technology sales or account management experience.
- Proven track record of developing new business and consistently achieving or exceeding sales quotas.
- Experience selling into State Government, Higher Education, or the broader Public Sector is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
- Demonstrated success building executive-level customer relationships.
- Experience selling enterprise infrastructure, networking, cloud, AI, software, or related technology solutions is preferred.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to develop strategic account plans and identify new growth opportunities.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% throughout the assigned territory.
