About the Role
Synchrony is building a Performance Media and Creative Agency focused on driving results for retail and payments partners while delivering leading customer experiences. The Paid Media Team aims for growth through data-driven decisions and meaningful customer interactions. This role serves as a hands-on SEM strategist and analyst, supporting business partners by executing and optimizing campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Own and assist paid search campaign planning, budget forecasting, campaign development, execution, optimization, and reporting.
- Conduct keyword research and analysis, develop ad copy, manage bid strategies, and allocate budgets.
- Monitor daily campaign performance and optimize based on KPIs and demand opportunities.
- Analyze campaign performance to identify trends, drivers, and recommend actionable insights.
- Develop and document an ongoing testing plan to improve campaign performance.
- Document campaign learnings and develop case studies for sharing with the search team and DG teams.
- Understand the technical build of paid search tactics (e.g., PMAX, Demand Gen, MSAN, Multiple Media Ads) and AI-driven formats (e.g., AI Max, As in AI Mode).
- Be conversant in all campaign settings and QA processes for flawless execution.
- Utilize tCPA and tROAS bid strategies and leverage both 1st and 3rd party audience data.
- Collaborate with analytics and Ad Ops on measurement, tagging, and reporting.
- Partner with programmatic, paid social, media strategy, and account teams on cross-channel planning, deliverables, budget allocation, and integrated performance reporting.
- Perform other assigned duties and special ad hoc projects.
- Stay current on evolving search automation, AI-driven campaign tools, and platform best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or high school diploma/GED with 5+ years of marketing experience, including managing paid search campaigns.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience managing paid search campaigns from planning and execution to optimization and reporting.
- Experience in paid search keyword research, ad copy development, bid strategy, and daily optimization tactics.
- Experience with Google Marketing Platform (SA360 required, GA4/CM/DV360 preferred).
- Demonstrated strength in analytical skills and thinking; proficient in Excel and PPT.
- Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation, and submit fingerprints.
- Must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
- Will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future.

Salary/Compensations
- 60,000.00 - 112,000.00 USD Annual
- Eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
- Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
