About the Role

Works closely with senior managers to manage key initiatives, support critical cross-functional projects, improve risk management, ensure process efficiency and sustainability, and meet evolving regulatory expectations. Leads or supports the design, planning, and implementation of critical programs and projects. Facilitates industry groups to share best practices and promote advocacy.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning and implementing new products, programs, and initiatives to achieve business objectives.
• Support the development of project roadmaps and plans.
• Provide analytical support for critical Bank-wide or divisional projects, including planning, design, and analysis of results.
• Develop comprehensive documentation to align with regulatory expectations.
• Analyze complex data sets and optimize data structures.
• Apply critical thinking to independently navigate problems and issues.
• Develop and produce complex ad-hoc and automated departmental analyses and reports.
• Synthesize large volumes of qualitative and quantitative information for analysis and decision-making.
• Coordinate discussions and agenda development for meetings with external peers, industry groups, agencies, and officials.
• Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls.
• Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
• Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
• Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience, or a combined minimum of 7 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 3 years’ relevant work experience.
