About the Role

Supports efforts to ensure fidelity of implementation for OnRamps History courses and coordinates high-level instructional and professional development services for instructors, students, and faculty.

Responsibilities

  • Provides 1:1 instructional, professional development, and technical support to OnRamps Instructors to ensure fidelity of implementation, teacher growth, retention, and satisfaction.
  • Co-develops and implements annual professional learning institutes for OnRamps instructors in collaboration with Course Leads, Assistant Director, and Professional Learning and Development team.
  • Cultivates and leads a facilitated network of OnRamps Instructors through yearlong professional development activities, including newsletters, virtual conferences, and site visits.
  • Monitors curriculum implementation to ensure fidelity to college-aligned content and provides feedback to students, observing engagement and academic integrity instances.
  • Ensures the approved grading mechanism is executed with fidelity, including grading and supervising college credit assignments, calibration, and quality assurance.
  • Utilizes data on student learning and engagement to guide professional learning, instructor and student support, and enhancement proposals.
  • Communicates and collaborates effectively with internal and external stakeholders to align work and serve the OnRamps mission.
  • Provides exceptional customer service and technical support, solving problems with professionalism and positivity.
  • Supports and engages in designated special projects that align with the OnRamps mission and strategic direction.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in History or closely related field.
  • Meets Instructor of Record requirements for U.S. History.
  • Five years of teaching experience at a high school or college level.
  • Proficient in Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) or another LMS.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to engage multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to lay audiences.
  • Demonstrated understanding of High School teaching and learning in History courses.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
