About the Role

This 6-month, part-time, contract position requires an experienced Freelance Digital Marketing Project Manager to lead and drive the success of digital marketing initiatives for a key client. You will own the full project lifecycle, from strategic planning through successful completion, serving as the primary point of contact for clients and ensuring initiatives launch on time, within budget, and exceed expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end project management across multiple client accounts, including planning, QA, scope management, scheduling, and cost determination
  • Develop, maintain, and refine realistic project schedules for diverse marketing campaigns (paid media, SEO, email marketing, etc.)
  • Manage project changes, remediation, and scope adjustments while protecting timelines and budgets
  • Ensure all deliverables meet the highest quality standards and launch on time and within budget
  • Serve as the primary client contact, driving clear, timely decision-making and fostering strong partnerships
  • Deliver strategic guidance on short and long-term marketing initiatives and technical solutions
  • Present innovative alternatives and solutions that align with client business objectives
  • Provide consistent, transparent visibility across all stakeholders on activities, milestones, costs, deliverables, and risks
  • Build positive, collaborative relationships that drive client satisfaction and retention
  • Leverage project management tools to facilitate seamless communication across internal and external teams
  • Maintain organized project backlogs and ensure teams have clear direction and access to work efficiently
  • Prepare resourcing forecasts for weekly cross-functional planning meetings
  • Mentor and support project teams to deliver exceptional results
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive project status updates and performance reports to clients
  • Create time and value estimates for scope additions and additional client work
  • Manage monthly invoicing and project financials

Requirements

  • 5+ years of senior-level digital marketing project management experience
  • College diploma/university degree in related field, OR equivalent professional experience
  • Proven agency background managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects
  • Valid passport and willingness to travel within North America when needed
  • Ability to work independently and drive results with minimal oversight
